You first enter the courtyard, among stonework, towers, and old timber framing, and take in the château’s history at a glance. The tour then leads you into the caves carved into the rock, remains of the Templar commandery, then into the former outbuildings and the renovated main dwelling, where the furnishings bear witness to times gone by.

Château de la Guionie, located in Lempzours in the heart of the Périgord Vert, has its roots in an old 12th-century Templar commandery. Altered in the 17th and 18th centuries, it now combines medieval remains (caves carved into the rock) with a more residential architecture, typical of Périgord manor houses.
