The visit begins outdoors: the park, medieval walls, inner courtyard, and first views over the Vézère. Depending on visitors’ choice, the tour then continues into the Renaissance residence. The furnished rooms, carved fireplaces, and grand staircase are a testament to the art of living of the families who shaped Losse. The visit can be explored freely with an audio guide or as part of a guided tour lasting about 45 minutes.
Then comes a leisurely stroll through the gardens: shaded paths, clipped flowerbeds, suspended terraces, and panoramic views over the Vézère. A peaceful, well-balanced route that highlights the harmony between architecture and nature.

Overlooking the Vézère, Losse Castle is a Renaissance residence surrounded by medieval ramparts that are still visible today. The regular façades, the large terrace, and the formal garden evoke the refined atmosphere of the noble houses of the Périgord Noir.
The ensemble is completed by gardens awarded the Remarkable Garden label, impeccably maintained and offering open views over the valley and surrounding woods. It is a harmonious, bright, and remarkably well-preserved place.
