Michèle Henning is an artisan specializing in straw marquetry. Coming from a family of antiques dealers, she grew up in an environment sensitive to objects, materials, and know-how.
After discovering straw marquetry, she taught herself the technique before completing her training through several workshops in a Parisian workshop. Her work highlights the plays of light, contrasts, and delicacy specific to this singular technique
The workshops take place in the Reflet de Paille workshop, located in Scy-Chazelles, in Moselle. It is here that Michèle Henning welcomes participants to introduce them to straw marquetry techniques through small-group workshops.
