The visit begins in the park, in the shade of the trees. Olivia tells you the story of the bastide, its origins in the 18th century, then her own journey: taking over the place, the renovation work, and the birth of a project centered on the white fig of Salernes.
You then discover the different areas of the estate: the outdoor spaces, the reception areas, and then the workshop where the house specialties are made. Your host explains the harvests, same-day processing, successive cooking stages, and the recipes she has been perfecting for years.
Finally, the visit ends with a tasting. Around a convivial table, Olivia lets you sample several specialties: candied figs, jam, syrup, vinegar, and her fig-based aperitif. A complete experience, from place to taste.

Local artisan & host of the Bastide
Olivia is one of those hosts who love to share: attention to detail, a refined taste, and genuine pride in the local culinary heritage. Alongside Jérôme, she welcomes you by appointment and introduces you to the white fig of Salernes through artisan, hands-on production that stays true to age-old recipes.

Built in the 18th century, Bastide du Capelier opens onto a one-hectare park punctuated by a pond and shaded terraces. The Capelier district has a unique history, linked to the craftsmanship of bygone days. People come here for the charm of the place and leave with the delicate flavor of the white fig of Salernes.
