“Do you not have a vast world within you? Then be its cry.” This phrase has accompanied me always. I model figures as one writes poems: slowly, patiently, over the days. My work is figurative, rooted in emotion and feeling. I like forms to emerge from within, without sketches or armatures, respecting the grain and texture of the clay, fired at high temperature. After a life devoted to art therapy, sculpture became my profession, my silent cry, my way of speaking the world. Modeling life is my mantra.
