“Do you not have within you an immense world? Then be its cry.” This phrase has accompanied me always. I shape figures as one writes poems: slowly, patiently, day after day. My work is figurative, rooted in emotion and feeling. I like forms to emerge from within, without sketches or an armature, respecting the grain and texture of the clay, fired at high temperature. After a life devoted to art therapy, sculpture became my profession, my silent cry, my way of speaking of the world. Shaping life is my mantra.
