“Do you not have a vast world within you? Then be its cry.” This phrase has accompanied me always. I model figures as one writes poems: slowly, patiently, over the days. My work is figurative, rooted in emotion and feeling. I like forms to emerge from within, without sketches or armatures, respecting the grain and texture of the clay, fired at high temperature. After a life devoted to art therapy, sculpture became my profession, my silent cry, my way of speaking the world. Modeling life is my mantra.

Pause on the Steps (Stoneware)

By Marie-Hélène Vallade Huet

A one-of-a-kind stoneware piece, “Pause on the Steps” depicts a seated woman, modeled from a live model with a deliberately raw finish — like a sketch transformed into volume. The wash of oxides and porcelain slip brings delicate tones (off-white, touches of yellow ochre) and a rich texture that catches the light. Intended for indoor display, this statuette has an intimate, narrative presence, ideal for a collector or for adding a signed artwork to an interior. Delivered with a certificate of authenticity and carefully prepared for shipping. Colors / finish: off-white, touches of yellow ochre and white (oxide wash + porcelain in second firing). Dimensions: 22 × 8.5 × 14.5 cm. Display: To be placed on a surface (indoor use only).

three capuchin birds on wood (Stoneware)

By Marie-Hélène Vallade Huet

Unique stoneware piece featuring three finely modeled and painted birds set on a fragment of branch. The decoration, applied with a brush using oxide washes and slip, punctuated with touches of glaze, creates a range of ochre, russet, white, and sepia tones — a warm, lively palette. Each hand-modeled bird retains the qualities of a sculptural object: delicate detail, depth of modeling, and a striking contrast between the mineral material and the warmth of the wood. Signed piece delivered with a certificate of authenticity; carefully prepared and packaged for shipping from the studio. Material: Stoneware; birds mounted on a dry wood fragment Dimensions: 13 × 27 × 30 cm. Display: For indoor tabletop use

Designed to be displayed, this studio work invites a dialogue between humanity and storytelling, and is suited to the art lover looking to add an expressive, signed sculpture to their collection.
