Today, her workshop is a refuge for curious souls: vibrant paintings, dreamlike scenes, enigmatic figures — everything here invites you to look differently. She paints here every day and welcomes passing visitors. No more than six at a time. Intimacy matters. Galka greets you simply, with a smile and a cup of coffee. Galka is a whirlwind of colour in a calm body. She loves bright colours, winding paths and places with a memory. Galka paints every day, often in silence, sometimes humming. When someone opens the door, she sets down her brushes, smiles and tells a story. She tells the story of a painting, a detail, an idea that came in a dream. She does not seek to explain. She invites you to feel.
The La Taupinière workshop, the creative cradle of artists Galka and Marc Renaut, is located in the heart of one of the region’s most beautiful villages. At the foot of Callian Castle, it overflows with colour. Galka’s paintings guide visitors as they lose themselves in its winding paths. Marc Renaut’s sculptures point the way. For 20 years, these two artists have established themselves in the artistic landscape of the French Riviera. Oil painting, watercolour, bronze, raku, glass, resin or wood — there is something for every taste and in every format. Enough to decorate a small vestibule or enliven a living room!
