An immersion in the workshop of an artistic bookbinder and restorer of old books.
This discovery workshop will let you see the bookbinding work carried out in the workshop, attend a demonstration, try your hand at gilding on a piece of leather or paper, watch specialized restoration craftspeople at work, and share in their trade.
You will also have the chance to take part in binding a book!

Before turning to bookbinding, I worked in industry for 30 years. I then earned my CAP in my late 40s, followed by my BMA, and specialized in restoring old books.
I have been working in the field for 16 years and created a Workshop-School to support those who want to give their career a new dimension.
The workshop

Two bookbinding workshops, one in Mulhouse and the other in Illkirch. One workshop features a remarkable collection of antique gilding tools still in use, a beautiful library of books dating from the 15th to the 20th century, and all the tools of the artistic bookbinder
